St Andrews Guaranteed Tee Times

17th tee- The Road Hole. Knock it over the sheds!

All the guaranteed direct times for 2014 have now been sold. The VIP packages are also virtually sold out. However, the ballot process will be working normally so there is still a good chance you will get your game this summer. We recommend avoiding August as it is always very busy and the chances of success are slim. In September the course is closed for most of the month.

Scotland Tours PGA Staff Player
All new golf tours, to Scotland, with 4 or more golfers, booked after 1 April 2014 will have a complimentary 1 hour group coaching session included. Most of these sessions will be run by our resident PGA Professional staff player, Peter Mitchell and will be scheduled into your tour, usually fairly early in the itinerary.

Arriving in Scotland to play many of the famous courses that are on most golfer's bucket list, you will want to play your "A" game. Pete can help you out and give you the best possible start to your tour. As well as coaching our clients, Pete is also involved in planning many of our golf tours so you can also chat to him about the courses you will be playing, the hotels you will be staying in, the pubs and distilleries you should really visit, and of course the adjustments you need to make to your game to play these courses most successfully.

Not only do we want you to go home with great memories of an amazing trip, we want you to enjoy playing your best golf when you are here.

 2015 times
There are several ways to get your tee times on The Old Course in 2015. The Direct Application process opens on Wednesday September 3rd, 2014. You should have your tour planned with us by that date. We will assist you with this and supply the application form and copies of the conditions etc.

Golfers with tours already booked for 2015 get priority from us when we are allocating the trade times we receive in October to our clients.

Remember that The Old Course is hosting The Open again from 16 - 19 July 2015 and the course will be closed from 13 June to 22 July approximately. This 6 week closure displaces the usual summer traffic so you might want to consider travelling earlier in April or May next year.

Scotland Tours arrange for hundreds of golfers ever year to play on The Old Course. Apart from the times mentioned above, there are lots of tee times each day kept for the daily ballot and many of our clients get their tee times that way. It is also the least expensive way so don’t be discouraged!!

If playing the Old Course is important to you, then we will plan your tour so that you spend 3 or 4 nights in St Andrews and we will enter you in the daily ballot each day until you are successful. Over a 3 or 4 day period the chances of playing it are very high. We will also have other golf planned for you, and when you are successful we will rearrange your other golf as all the courses in the St Andrews area work closely with us, and allow us to switch clients tee times. Obviously these new times are subject to availability, but it usually works out fine!

Remember Scotland has over 600 courses to enjoy and there are dozens of other world class golf courses scattered throughout Scotland, often charging much less than the Old Course. So if you prefer to have all your golf guaranteed before you fly, then allow us to show you other locations where you will have the time of your lives! Talk to us today and remember we plan it – you play it!

As you may know there are a number of different ways to reserve your time so we will guide you as cost efficiently as possible.

Most days during the April to October period there is a daily ballot and a significant number of times are made available. The best months to be successful in the ballot are April and May.

June is possible but July and August are very limited simply due to the number of golfers wanting to play at St Andrews at that time of year. Please note that the course is always closed on Sundays.

Green fee is £160 for 2014.

It is possible to buy VIP packages for 4 - 40 players throughout the summer months. These are sold as a package with 2, 3 or 4 night's accommodation.
