Introduction
If you are a fan of Tiger, Ernie, Leftie, Monty or any others, you can now follow your favourite golfer with Scotland Tours, as they play at the many European Tour events, PGA Tour events and Ladies European Tour events held here each year.
We can plan your tour to include, tickets, including hospitality facilities if you wish, to allow you to get close to the action as some of the many excellent tournaments that are held here each year. Some guests like to be at the event all week. Others prefer to play golf themselves and then attend the tournament for maybe just 1 or 2 days - it is up to you.
We also manage bookings on behalf of corporate clients entertaining their guests at these world-class events. Our event management services include hospitality tickets, transport, accommodation, diners, airport transfers, and other support services required to make this a complete success for everyone.
Here are just a few of the more popular events, but as you will see from the European Tour, PGA Tour and Ladies European Tour schedules on their web sites, there are many more that we will be happy to include in your itinerary.
British Open Championship
One of the 4 majors, this attracts all the world's top golfers and you are advised to book as early as possible to secure your accommodation within reasonable travelling distances to the course.
Future venues
17-20 July 2008 Royal Birkdale, England
16-19 July 2009 Turnberry, Scotland
15-18 July 2010 The Old Course, St Andrews Scotland
The Barclays Scottish Open
10 - 13 July 2008
Held annually at the Loch Lomond Golf Club, this always takes place the week before the British Open. Past winners include Ernie Els, Tom Lehman, Tim Clark, Colin Montgomerie, Reteif Goosen.
This is a good tournament to spectate at as you can see more of the action as the crowds are usually a lot smaller than the crowds will be at the British Open the following week.
The Dunhill Links Tournament
2 - 5 October 2008
This unusual tournament takes place on 3 links courses, Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and The Old Course. It is a European Tour event but it is unusual as it combines a PRO / AM with a fully ranking European Tour event. Many of the amateurs in recent years have included famous celebrities such as Catherine Zeta Jones, Samuel L Jackson, Michael Douglas, Ronan Keating, Dennis Hopper, Hugh Grant, and many more. This is another excellent golf tournament to attend as you can watch both your favourite golfers and your favourite actors or sportsmen at close range.
